About AISSI

AISSI is a not-for-profit association operating according to the laws of the State of Israel.
The primary purpose of the AISSI will be to mediate between the Italian scholarly and scientific community in Israel and the local Italian diplomatic representatives, and the Italian Ministry for University and Research Italian (MIUR).
AISSI will apply for and accept funding from the private sector (Israeli and Italian companies interested in investing money in research) for scholarly and scientific activities in Israel on the behalf of junior and senior academics.
The secondary purpose of the AISSI will be to mediate between the Italian scientific and scholarly community in Israel and the local Israeli academic community.
The tertiary purpose of the AISSI will be to provide Italian scholars studying and / or working in Israel with a local networking framework.
The AISSI is also conceived as a support and mentoring network for Italian graduate and post-graduate students in Israeli universities.
As part of its networking and mediating duties, the AISSI will organize seminars, workshops, conferences with Italian scholars in Israel, in order to increase the awareness in Italy and Israel of the work carried out by the AISSI members.
